I have been tasked with a project to refresh this lovely Tag Heuer chronograph. With a beautiful off-white dial and gilt hands, this is a very classic & attractive piece by the Swiss manufacturer.
Assessment
Upon closer inspection there is evidence of comprehensive use. Whilst by no means bad, the lugs are a little dirty & there are numerous scratches and swirls on the case. The pushers have grit & dirt underneath the lips, and the gap besides the crystal is filled with gunk.
The Process
After disassembly I have undertaken a machine polish to rid the case of the swirls and light damage. Some of the heavier marks will remain (such as the chips next to the top pusher) however will be less noticeable.
The first round of polishing has netted some good results however more work is required to refine the case & deployant clasp.
