I've been inspired to build a new dress watch from a case concept released by Alexander James Watches. This case is a clear reference to Rolex dress cases, whilst retaining a more modern 40mm diameter.
The bare bones of this build: - Custom fluted case from AJuiceT - NH35 movement - Snowflake dial - Datejust style handset - Domed sapphire crystal (in lieu of a flat crystal with cyclops) - Dress bracelet (possibly Jubilee style)
Whilst the build will be a homage to the Datejust, I will be personalising a few aspects to create an individual timepiece that is not a direct copy of this legendary timepiece.
Parts have started arriving as of early Dec 19. The textured dial is a standout piece; whilst it looks a little bare with a simple AJuiceT logo, it is this negative space that enhances the snowflake texture in my opinion. I am motivated to keep the dial clean compared to the comparatively 'busy' fluted bezel.
The Build
Once parts began arriving I commenced the build. I used a jubilee bracelet with milled clasp to match the polished fluted bezel.
